The individual sections are interlocked with strong high quality stainless steel clamps with allen screws. An allen wrench is supplied with the mast and no further tools are necessary. The mast should be guyed at two or three levels.
This mast was developed especially for permanent installation of our Heavy Duty Spiderbeams. The additional height will strongly improve the performance especially on 20 and 17m due to lower take off angle. The mast can be rotated by hand, or a rotator (e.g. KR-450 or KR-650) can be placed at the bottom and turn the whole mast including the antenna.
note: The tubes of our aluminium masts are anodized for surface protection. Due to increased contact resistances between the individual tube segments the mast cannot be used as a radiator for vertical antennas without further treatment.
